evaluation (short film)

Short-films



What was project about ?

We have been creating short-films about secrets. I did some planning towards the film, but I started with making my own proposal ideas and then when we were put into  groups, we created another proposal,  we changed our ideas around, because our own ideas had nothing to do with secrets  then we  brainstormed ideas. Then we thought we would do a Scooby kind of thing, like an uncover villain and who might be under the mask.



What kind of research you did ?(e.g primary,market and secondary  )

We have been researching about secrets on google images (secondary research) and it was helpful for me, because I can think up my own ideas and also inspired me to create a secret film.

We did some primary and secondary research and I have learned about  it more, I did some last year (AMF) .Secondary is when I research  other peoples work  and I did some research on other people work that inspired me and this was a Werewolf Man because he is monster  and that was the type that I wanted my short flim to  be about .

The primary work is when you do your own research and after that I used Survey Monkey- It is survey website where you can create a survey and people vote on your survey, so it can help with my idea  and shared the results  on the Facebook group, as my classmate helped me with their answers to my questions and gave me ideas of what I can do to continue my research .




We created the short film ,but we  recorded  twice ,because in  first video we had dialoge and we wern’t allowed to do dialog so we had to redo it the week after the  last video.d we  added close-cut into our short flim.We did some panning shost with some shoulder-shots, wide shost and mid-range shots.




What were  your ideas in  your group ?

The idea was about Scooby doo  , but the people who were watching the film found it creepy. I liked the idea myself, but I think it be  better if it was explained more, so it would give  more details about our ideas as I didn’t have clue as to what we were doing.
 We  filled some forms in like a story board, what was okay ,but we had to redo it again, as it was too short.We  redid it and make it  bigger and gave  more explanation.

We did a health and safety sheet, so the equipment and ourselves  could be safe.  One of my team-mates might got run over by lorry and die ,as well as the  camera being damaged.
 We did a budget sheet, to see what objects we bring in.We made  a call sheet to  know what role we would take, because we can’t let one person do all the work,because it won’t be right and we wouldn’t be marked and we did more work sheets.




what  production did you do?

We did some recodering  in collage builiding , we did 2 loctions in a video-production work.we the spilted into 2 groups to do how editing, as we did the voice reordering we did and added onto how  video ,as voice over what was funny ,as i sounded like a zombie on the video,we then did some editing onto the  how video ,like sketlion the video and then added some effect to make it kind of spooky ,but misery in how video.We will be posting the video onto youtube so other people can see.




what equipment did you use  and what kind of shots you took? 

We use camera (Panasonic HC-W570K) to recorder how film with. We had tripod with us to recorder how video (w/pan tilt handle) I used photoshop to created a error banner for to go with how short-flim.We did some panning shot ,mid-range shot and over shoulder shot one how final shot.




what did you do for your final project ? 

We did a mestry kind of video , too found out who under the mask ,with people watching the video .I'm kind of confused about it ,so it was hard to descibe about the final project,but The editing made more sense toward editing .



what do you need to improvement and what would you do differently?

I don’t think I needed any improvement, just to that the team needs working as a team. People kept leaving while we were filming. We need to discuss in more detail, so other people don’t get confused with how we will be filming. I would change the mask and other people should bring objects in beside me as it wasn’t planned out well and I had to bring everything in.I would change the way we made the plan and not keep changing ideas around about ,so we woundn’t get confused with the main idea .


what was the age range ? (BBFC ,monkey survey )


The age range we picked was PG ,because it was aimed at “U”,because it was   confusing for kids and they wouldn’t understand that much.The gender is mixed with both gender I think .

filming

we done part of how recodering and we are go do scound part soon hopefully.
I have learn new location in the area and learn that  i have  maded  cracked in the mask. Not to get stuck into one group,as we need to recorder how own videos and  we didn't need a teacher assistant with us,as he kept  rushing us during how filmin,as I ratehr took how time then, rushing  the filming  as we could of  messed up  the video. we have didn't got time to mess rounded with other groups .
Kazer was too bossy ,as we after keep doing cha cha slide
, before we film the  video for how short film.

we have  watch video about poliet, what as nothing to do with how theme and their wasn't any secert in the video.I don't if it as anything to do with how work.

I did not enjoy it today,as it was boring and really immature, we could done how video by now and not wasting how time following  other people and stay in pears .

BBFC  submitted  the film in march 2011 and has no category request in the film.It use 50  "F" word in the film,as it around young teen gangs.the strong languages it permitted 12A, So they used 2 aging rated in the film.

 I have learn so much about copyright, as like  about the music i  used from google to put in my last unit (advertising) and  i learn what i can put in the short film , i am making with the group and for my other unit i will be doing  in merssia class.
